7 Mistakes That Keep Women Entrepreneurs Struggling to Get Clients, Overwhelmed and Underpaid
In my review on Amazon.co.uk, I gave the book Four Stars. This means it is Good and Well Worth Reading.
Here is my book review.
Mistakes coaches make in their marketing
I realise that, as a man, I’m not the target audience for the book but I was interested to know what it had to say
The short book is a transcription of a presentation at a live event and has been cleaned up to improve readability. The book also gives you a link to watch a video of the presentation.
While the book title refers to entrepreneurs, the book seems to be addressing coaches. There is no reason why the lessons shouldn’t apply to a wider audience.
The danger with a book like this is that I finish up giving it all away as I summarise it in my review.
I don’t want to do that but I do want to give you some feedback on the mistakes.
1 – I agree with partly. Money is important but having a commitment to a deeper purpose can help you push through the difficulties.
2 – agree
3 – agree
4 – agree mostly. Clients are most interested in outcomes and benefits but what goes on may be a critical buying criteria. The book talks about people wanting cookies to be delicious but knowing a new cookie has apricots and pistachio nuts in it (a wonderful combination in my experience) would convince me to try it, even if I feel the price is on the high side.
5 – agree
6 – I agree mostly. Only do work with a proper return on time but, when starting, don’t spend money you haven’t got. It’s a slippery slope because it’s very easy to spend money, perhaps harder to earn it.
7 – agree.
Despite the title of the book, I didn’t find anything that I thought would only apply to women or single parents juggling priorities.
It’s a quick read but it may hit home if the mistakes sound familiar.
