A practical book that looks at the causes of business failure
This is a good, practical, wide – ranging book that looks at 43 different causes of business failure.
It then tells a few stories where businesses found themselves in trouble and through effective action, turned themselves around.
It ends with eleven main areas to improve a business. Ideas are explained well.
What it doesn’t have is a systematic turnaround process that identifies the most important problems to fix first or even an assessment of whether turnaround is possible. Whilst it includes turnaround in the title, it is only suitable for early stage declines. If the clock is ticking and business viability is seriously threatened, look elsewhere but the sooner you get proper professional advice, the higher the chance of recovery.
The author isn’t shy about promoting his services as there is an advert for a free 30 minutes trial session that keeps popping up throughout the book.
