How To Survive A World Headed For Collapse by Richard Grainger

The full title of this book by Richard Grainger is

How To Survive A World Headed For Collapse: A must-have 9-step guide for how to get by when everything we depend upon is wiped out“.

In my review posted to Amazon.co.uk, I gave the book Four Stars. This means I think it is Good and Well Worth Reading, although I’ll confess that I haven’t read much about “prepping”.

What happens if society collapses?

Should you ignore that uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach that tells you that bad things are happening or should you be prepared for the worst?

In this short book, the author gives you plenty to think about if society and the economy  break down.

The sots of things that could happen include:

  • you can’t get cash out of the bank and your credit cards don’t work.
  • there’s nothing in the shops anyway.
  • there’s no electricity, gas or water coming through to your house.
  • there’s no petrol available for your car.
  • civil unrest means that there’s rioting nearby and you no longer feel safe in your own home.

I’m not sure how far I’m going to go along the journey to get prepared for a collapse in society. Some of the ideas are much easier than others but I’m glad that I’ve read the book and I plan to come back to it.

This knowledge helps you to make up your own mind about where you need to build in buffers. Like all insurance, you really want the money, time and effort to be wasted because that means that the world as you know it, carries on like it always has done.

But sometimes things do change for the worse. This book gives you tips on how you can protect your family from the worst of things.

Just a thought but you might want another “how to survive if the worst happens” style book in its physical form. I’ve realised I won’t be able to read my Kindle once the battery expires.

It is available to buy from Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com.
