Systems Thinking by David DeSchoolmeester

The full title of this book by David DeSchoolmeester is

Systems Thinking: A Blueprint For Success

In my review posted on Amazon.co.uk, I gave the it Two Stars.

Here is my review.

Not what I was expecting

I made the mistake of buying this without looking at the sample first.

I thought it was a book that applied The Fifth Discipline style systems thinking to small businesses but it turned out to be a book about Michael Gerber’s internal systemisation i.e. documenting processes so people know what to do and making sure that that follow the system consistently to standardise outputs and results. That’s a worthy thing to do for the major systems although I believe the E-Myth takes it too far.

The formatting for Kindle isn’t done very well with a lack of spaces between paragraphs and very variable line lengths.
