The short book has quite a wide scope
The book starts with a waffle on content management systems which is more relevant for people who want to buy a website and less relevant for those of us who have made the decision.

Packed with sensible advice on how to improve your SEO in a Google friendly way.
This is a very good book about search engine optimisation and the importance of following Google’s guidelines both to the letter and to their spirit.
The author tells how SEO used to be easy in the good old days before the Panda and Penguin crackdowns because someone in the know could take the steps needed to get onto the first page of Google with relative ease and with effort get into the top spots for all but the most popular phrases. A very good introduction to the issues of local search engine optimisation
This book presents a choice if you have a local business and want it to be found easily on the Internet:
- Pay an SEO consultant between $1,000 and $2,500 to do the necessary work for you; or
- Do it yourself (or delegate to a trusted employee) provided you “have an additional 10-15 hours per month (maybe more in the beginning) to put towards this process”.
