In my review posted on Amazon.co.uk, I gave the book Two Stars, which means I thought it was Disappointing.
Here is my book review.
Surprised I made it through to the end
It’s quite easy to get irritated with this book. It’s written in what I call “bad copywriting” style.
Good copywriting pulls you in and keeps you reading without setting off alarms in your head that you’re being persuaded. Bad copywriting screams out at you that you’re being worked.
The author tells her story before getting to the three obstacles.
The first is the need to make a decision about investment. Her story continues.
The book then launches into the first of 7 Key Strategies which is responsible for the struggle to make the decision.
The second obstacle is being the Lone Ranger. It’s that feeling you must do everything yourself.
The third obstacle is stopping your business from growing.
It was a struggle to make it to the end of the book and it was a relief when I got there. In between, the author makes some important points but the writing style may make you actively resist, just as you throw up objections when someone is trying to force the sale.
I’m left giving more of a warning about the book than a recommendation. There are plenty of others to choose from about procrastination, delegation and conquering your fears.
