The full title of this book by William Van Hoy is

Stop Banging Your Head: Break through the wall of frustration in small business

In my review posted on Amazon.co.uk, I gave the book Three Stars. This means it is Worthwhile.

Here is my book review.

Enough is enough. Stop being frustrated and do what’s necessary to make progress – financial services industry

If you’re a business owner, you’ll be familiar with the wall of frustration. No matter how often or how hard you hit your head against the wall, you don’t seem to make significant progress.

The book starts with three stories, of people in different situations in the financial services industry who are stuck. It then takes you through some important concepts before getting back to the three stories and several more loops of progress.

Then we have chapters on five core processes – building your team, differentiate, stay in touch with potential clients who were not ready to buy, recurring revenue and preparing to transition.

I probably wouldn’t have read this if I’d realised its focus was on financial services and rate it as a three star book if you’re outside the industry and four stars if you’re in it. You will still find the issues relevant but the stories won’t resonate as strongly.
