The Right Keys: Secret Marketing Strategies That Will Help You Sell Anything
In my review posted on Amazon.co.uk, I have it Three Stars. This means Worthwhile.
Here is my review.
I don’t understand why I didn’t like this more
This is a fairly concise, low price book about marketing to the emotions.
It’s not badly written and it contains sensible, practical advice supported by examples.
Unfortunately it lacks any wows. I read a lot of business books and I normally find it pretty easy to give a rating. This one gives me a bit of a dilemma because I feel that I should like it more than I do. It doesn’t excite me, which is ironic for a book about appealing to the emotions. It seemed a chore to read because I wasn’t learning anything new but I didn’t feel that it was a useful summary to use as a refresher.
I am puzzled but perhaps my issues with it are that it doesn’t go as deeply into the subject of emotional marketing as I want it to. Some books needs to be condensed when a big idea is padded out but others need to be expanded to dig in deeper and go beyond the easy and superficial.
